Disney Trip - Last Day

Here are some photos from the last day of our Disney trip.

Riding the tram to the park. The park was super busy this day, so it took us awhile to park.

Jordan's cube had to come along again, so it could get it's picture taken at various places in the park.

Allie climbing the rope in the tree fort area. She made it to the top super fast. That girl can climb!

The 4 oldest waiting for the Indiana Jones ride, which happens to be one of Austin's favorites.

Jordan (he is OBA) was #3 on the daily high scores for Astro Blasters, he beat the record that Steve set last year. The ride stopped a couple of times and Jordan got stuck by a high scoring target.

Me and the boys waiting to go on Thunder Mountain Railroad. Dallin decided he loved this ride so we went on it several times at the very end of the day.

Jordan, Austin and the Cube on Thunder Mountain Railroad. We were able to go on it again and again, because so many people were waiting for the fireworks to start.

when we got off Thunder Mountain Railroad once, we had a perfect view of lots of the larger fireworks. It was the perfect ending to a great vacation. We hope to head to Disney World next time we go

Our Little Artist

Dallin has been painting like crazy. Here is some of his artwork:

Here is Darth Vader (he knows exactly what color of light saber each character has too).

I thought this was Jango Fett, but Dallin told me "No, it's Captain Rex". I thought who the heck, is Captain Rex? I googled it, and sure enough this is Captain Rex.

This is Anakin.
He can't forget Grievous with his 4 lightsabers.

He switched to Mickey Mouse.

Lastly, he created Hulk.

Disney Trip - Day Five (Part Two)

We decided to take another break from the theme parks, and we headed to Huntington Beach.

Dallin playing in the sand.

Jordan & Austin building their castle, they were competing against Levi & Steve.

Levi & Steve creating their castle. It quickly turned into a "let's see who's can last longer when the tide comes in" contest, so they had to build something around it to protect it.

Allie jumping the waves.

Here she is looking for sea shells. We found lots of great ones.

The biggest surprise was Dallin. He had so much fun. Each time we head to the beach, he feels more comfortable with the water. Here he is running away from the waves.

He even let the waves get close enough to touch him.

More running.
Then some jumping. This photo makes me happy, he is having such a great time.

Then he got totally wet! This is HUGE for Dallin. He usually doesn't like to be wet or dirty, it bothers him.
Cute picture of Dallin and his wet/sandy booty walking back to get washed off.

Look Who Made our Local Paper

I am not sure if you can read it or not, but Jordan won an award for excellence in Impromptu in his first speech and debate tournament of the year. Woo Hoo Jordan! Just had to share.

Disney Trip - Day Five (Part One)

On day five, we headed to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. We bought a package deal through Costco, and a character meal is included. I have to say we probably wouldn't do the character meal if it wasn't part of our package, because it is EXPENSIVE! I don't know if you know this about me, but I am kind of frugal and don't like to pay huge amounts of money to go out to eat. I am so glad we went though, because there is something for everyone to eat (even the picky kids), and you really get to get up close and personal with the characters. Fun stuff! So, here are pictures from our breakfast.

Cinderella came up behind Dallin, but Dallin didn't want anything to do with her. He just kept looking forward and eating his bagel.

Allie on the other hand, has to get everybody's autograph and a photo if possible too.

This picture is blurry, but I still like it. It reminds me of the fun we had. Goofy scared Jordan and Austin and Goofy found it quite humorous.

The boys with Cinderella (did I mention they were good sports). Jordan and Austin were good sports, Levi actually loves getting his picture taken with any character (except Tinkerbell).

The whole family with Goofy.

Allie and Chip.

Allie and Ballou the Bear.

Ballou kept trying to steal Dallin's ice cream cone.

Dallin protecting his ice cream cone again.

The gang (minus Dallin) with Princess Jasmine.

Halloween Costumes

Here are the kids all dressed up for Halloween.

Dallin went as a pirate. He was so cute when he went Trick or Treating, he was excited everytime he got some Skittles (those are his favorite).

Allie went as a wizard. That is my girly girl inside that costume, can you believe it? She did go without the beard though, because it was too itchy.

Levi went as a Hobo, and he put his costume together all by himself. So many people thought his sign was funny. One guy asked how he lost his job. Levi told him that he was an editor, and it didn't work out very well.

Disney Trip - Day Four

On day four of our trip we headed back to California Adventure in the morning and Disneyland in the evening. Here are some photos of our day.
Levi and Austin (complete with cheesy grin).

The cute little man, he was up to 3 Buzz Lightyear pins that he traded. Actually, he only had one to trade, but both Levi and Allie traded one of theirs and gave them to Dallin, because he knew he would like the Buzz Lightyear pins. Sometimes the kids can be so sweet!

The younger ones with the bears from Brother Bear. The kids LOVED running around this fort/forest area.

Jordan and his aviator hat and goggles. He wanted to buy the googles last year, and he knew he was going to pick them up this year. He had to go with the hat to complete his nerd (oops, I mean aviator) look.

The whole family at California Adventure. Allie has the hardest time looking at the camera, she always looks to the left.

On our way out of Disneyland, we ran into Mickey Mouse. There is just something about seeing him that makes me smile.

One more photo on our way out. I love Disneyland at night time, it is so pretty with all the lights.

Disney Trip - Day Three

We are on day 3 of our Disney trip. When you are spending 4 days at the Disney parks, it is good to split them up, because too many days in a row at Disneyland can become overwhelming. Day 3 was one of our "off" days. We headed to Downtown Disney (that doesn't really sound like much of an "off" Disney day, does it?) We spend the morning looking at the stores, and then we went to Target (Mom's favorite), bought a new family game and headed back to the hotel. The rest of the afternoon we played games and went swimming in the pool.

Levi and Darth Vader at the Lego store.

Dallin and Daddy building stuff at the Lego Store.

Dallin remembered that last year his brothers and sister got their picture taken on the giant Lego, so he had to do it this year.

How do I explain this one? Jordan's new thing is to bring his Rubik's cube on vacation with us when ever we go somewhere, and then the cube gets it's picture taken in a million different places. Unfortunately, Jordan left HIS Rubik's cube at home, so he had to purchase a new one. Silly teenagers!

Speaking of silly teenagers. Here is Austin with his dinosaur pose.

Levi in his new hat (#2). The kid loves hats!

Allie with her new purchases, a Disney purse (Mom wants to borrow it, because she thinks it is too cute), a peace bracelet and a Mickey Lanyard.
