Photos of our New House

I have had several people request some photos of our new place, so here you go. Enjoy!

We have a neighboring house to the right of us, and these are the neighbors to the left of us - birds and trees!

Looking down at the front room from the stairs.

This is one of Steve's favorite features (no joke!). Do you know what it is?

Built in ironing board and iron holder. We never have to unplug or wind up the iron cord. Pure joy!

Here is the view from our bathroom shower. I love this view! If you weren't familiar with the view from the shower at our last house, we were so close to our neighbors we could borrow soap from them and never step foot out of the shower.

Here is the kitchen. We are still getting used to the fact that the kitchen is smaller than our last kitchen. There isn't as much cupboard or counter space.

The kitchen may be smaller, but I do have a pretty pantry door.

Plus, I have brand new canisters that were delivered today. I love them!

This is where you would put a refrigerator if it actually fit in the space. Instead, we have to keep our refrigerator in the garage and walk our there for our food. Annoying! We are hoping to cut the counter down a little, so we can slide the refrigerator in . At the rate we are going, we are hoping to have that done sometime before Christmas!

Here is the view from the patio.

The dinner bell!

The fire pit, complete with a "rock bench". My entire family makes fun of me for calling it a "rock bench", because when I showed them photos of the house (when we were looking to buy it), I pointed out that it had a "rock bench" as if it was a huge selling point. You would buy a house specifically because it had a "rock bench", right?

The man cave.

The kid cave.

Do you remember the pretty photo of our garden that I posted about 2 posts down? Everyone thought it was as pretty as a painting. Not so pretty now, huh? Lots of weeds, queen anne's lace and fortunately some blueberries growing in there.

Here is a photo of our pretty hydrangea. Sadly, it is one of the only plants that is looking good. The summer has been too hot! Plus, I think once the owners found out they sold they house, they didn't bother to water anymore.

This is what the kids refer to as the "secret gate". Why is it secret you ask?

It is a secret gate, because when you open it, you get to see the neighbors behind us who raise alpacas. NOTE: This is not an actual picture of their alpaca's. I borrowed this one from the Internet, because just as I was about to open the gate I heard something rustling in the bushes so I had to "book it" out of there before whatever it was, jumped out of the bushes and scared me.

Somebody Found the Camera on My New Computer

Austin found the video camera on my new Macbook, and he entertained himself with it. I thought I would share it will all of you, so you can see just how goofy he is. He was mesmerized by seeing himself on the computer screen. Enjoy!
