Getting Ready For Christmas

I love Christmas, it is my favorite time of the year. I have already been getting lots of stuff done to prepare for Christmas, shopping, making lists, buying baking supplies, and wrapping presents. I like to get as much done as early as I can, so when December rolls around we can spend time together as a family doing all the fun stuff. I made this Christmas countdown, so we will have a fun family activity to do everyday in December.

I used a piece of scrapbook paper that had all 25 numbers on it, I cut them out and attached them to self-adhesive business card magnets. I added some buttons, ribbon and bling to some of the numbers. They attach right on the front of our regfrigerator. Each day in December we will do the activity that is listed on the back.

Here is a close-up of some of the numbers all decorated. All the papers I used were from the Making Memories Fa la la collection.

This is a picture of the back of 3 of the numbers, and the activities that are listed on them. I look forward to sharing some of our Christmas activities.

Seriously, Christy! I LOVE you!!! I need to do this!! How AWESOME is this??!?!?

OK - quick Christmas-lover-as-much-as-I-am question: When you wrap your presents early, where do you store them? Do you set them out already or keep them hidden?

PS - even your word verification sounds holiday-ish: Lahdeigg. Like a German word for "bells tolling on Christmas morning!"

Heather,
You seriously crack me up! Lahdeigg, a german word for "bells tolling on Christmas morning". I requested that all my verification words have a Christmas feel to them, it's nice that blogger went along with that for me.
When I wrap my presents, I just wrap them with the paper (no bows or tags). I write who the gift is for on the back, so I don't forget. My plan usually is to stack them all on the shelf in my bedroom closet. Currently, they are making there way around the house. They started out on the dining room table, then to the ironing board, into the laundry room and now back on the dining room table. I really just need to take them upstairs!
Once the tree is up (the weekend after Thanksgiving), I will add the bows and tags and put them under the tree.

That is totally cute!! I think I might have to do that--maybe for next year. Great gift idea too. You are so creative--I am jealous.
